It is also the most joyful and memorable season. It is a great day also for the children, who sing the carols. They fervently look for Santa Claus or the Father Christmas who is supposed to appear to distribute attractive gifts to the children on the day. Santa Claus dresses himself in red and white, wears white and long false beard, and carry a bag full of presents for the children. Any person disguised as Santa Claus distributes sweets among the children. Family reunions and the exchange of gifts are a widespread feature of the season. Cakes and puddings are set. Children get dressed in new clothes. This year our department celebrated the Christmas with the visitors of the library. The celebration was met with a great enthusiasm from the readers. We played games, reminisce about the year and our hopes for the future. The whole event had an upbeat atmosphere full of fun and happiness.

Kids played around, sang songs and talked about everything. Visitors were told to come in a “ugly” sweater to participate in a contest for the “ugliest” sweater among everyone. Our celebration was a mix of joy, happiness, kindness and gratitude. People from different background united to celebrated such an amazing holiday.

We hope that you had a great time at our library and look forward seeing you this new year!

Happy holiday!
