The Beatles were an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1960.

With members John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, all were born and raised in Liverpool, they became widely regarded as the foremost and most influential act of the rock era. The Beatles have exerted considerable impact on rock music and admit experts of one of the most successful groups of the 20th century. From the moment of release of the single "Ask Me Why" in 1963 the group has begun ascension to success, having generated the creativity the global phenomenon — Beatlemania. The Fab Four became the first British group which plates have won popularity and the first places in charts of the USA, and the global recognition of the British collectives and also Merseybeat of sounding of rock music has begun with her.  As The Beatles, they developed a local following in Liverpool clubs, and their first recordings, "Love Me Do" and "Please Please Me", quickly made them Britain's top rock group. The Rolling Stone magazine has delivered to The Beatles on the 1st place in the list of the most great performers of all times. The group has won ten awards of "Grammy". All four, in acknowledgement of merits before the country, is awarded with orders of the British Empire.

 The Beatles have stopped collaboration in 1970 though already at least since 1967 Paul McCartney and John Lennon order own projects.

P.S. I conducted a survey, which found that the most favourite songs of this group for young people are “Yesterday” and “Revolver”.
