World sandwich day is celebrated November 3, it is devoted to one of the most popular fast food dishes. A sandwich is a type of sandwich named after John Montagu, 4th Earl of Sandwich.
Lord Sandwich was an English diplomat who served as the First Lord of the Admiralty. According to the most common version of the sandwich's origin, Lord was a gambler and did not want to get up from the card table for food.

Triangular-shaped sandwiches called "club sandwiches" are also common in the United States. Club sandwiches are often sold in two pieces in plastic or cardboard packages. Typically, 2 club sandwiches are a single sandwich cut diagonally, consisting of rectangular toasts.
